Vintage Never Used Montblanc Meisterstuck #149 Black Fountain Pen, 14C Gold Nib

Vintage never used Montblanc Meisterstuck number 149 black reservoir style fountain pen with piston filling system that works perfectly.   The fountain pen’s barrel and cap are finished with a polished black resin and gold plated trim.   The pen has a 14 carat gold fine point nib with a rhodium plated inlay.   The number 4810 is stamped into the rhodium inlay, which represents the 4,810 meter height of Mont Blanc mountain.   The Montblanc snowcap is also stamped into the rhodium inlay as well as the word “Montblanc” and the number “585” and “14C”.   A stamped decor surrounds much of the edge of the rhodium inlay.
The top of the pen’s cap is adorned with a six point white snowcap, which symbolizes the peak of Mont Blanc mountain and its 6 glacier valleys.   The words “Montblanc Meisterstuck No. 149” are stamped into the wide ring that is located near the base of the pen’s cap.   The word “Germany” is stamped into the thin ring near the top of the cap that holds the pen’s clip in place.
